Industry survey: Retention, reskilling and recruitment in pulp and paper

June 19, 2019 – Between retiring workers and limited new recruits to the workforce, pulp and paper companies are already experiencing the repercussions of the manufacturing skills gap – and Pulp & Paper Canada wants to know about your challenges and potential solutions in our new industry survey. 

Retention, reskilling and recruitment in pulp and paper is the industry’s first survey to establish market insights for Canadian mills facing the skills shortage. 

We need your help!

The survey should take between 5-12 minutes to complete. It is designed for employees of pulp mills, paper mills, or pulp and paper mills in Canada only. We would love to hear about the topics are most important to you – and so would your colleagues in the industry!

The deadline to respond is August 1, 2019. Results will be published in the Fall 2019 issue of Pulp & Paper Canada, scheduled to be released at the end of September. Responses are confidential. 

At the end of the survey, respondents may enter our draw to win one (1) free admission to the FPInnovations Pulp, Paper & Bioproducts Course in Montreal, running October 7-11, 2019 (value: $3,000). The course is suitable for new workers in pulp and paper or those interested in deepening their knowledge through continuous learning and training.
