rednova.com recently reported that International Paper’s new air-pollution-control device will additionally serve to blanket the plant’s burnt-cabbage smell.

A $10 million investment to cut back on air pollution will also abate the odour emanating from the mill by effectively demolishing some of the organic compounds that are released into the air, rednova.com reported.

The mill, which is 68 years old, has been mandated by new federal regulations to cut air pollutants by 2007.
