Kyle Foster, who is studying industrial controls technology at New Brunswick Community College, is working at Lake Utopia Paper. This is his second co-op work term with JDI; last summer he was part of the team at Irving Pulp and Paper.
“I came back for another co-op term with JDI because of the hands-on experience and I enjoy the people I get to work with. I think JDI stands out because you can build a career here,” he said.
More than 40 per cent of the students joining JDI this term are studying an engineering discipline.
Christina Brimingham from Renous, Newfoundland and Labrador, is in her final year of mechanical engineering studies at Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN). She is one of 22 MUN students with JDI this term.
“This is my fourth co-op work term and my first with JDI,” said Brimingham. “You really get the opportunity to flourish. When you need it, everyone is more than willing to help.”
This term, students are joining JDI from 12 institutions:
• Dalhousie University
• Mount Saint Vincent University
• Nova Scotia Community College
• Université de Moncton
• University of New Brunswick Saint John
• University of New Brunswick Fredericton
