Jonquiere board mill equipment sold at auction

More than 35o pieces of equipment from the closed Graphic Packaging mill in Jonquiere, Que., have been sold at an online auction. According to a report on the French new website Ici.radio-canada.ca, the equipment consisted of pulping and board-making equipment.

The auction’s coordinator told Radio-Canada that buyers were located in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.

The Jonquiere mill closed in July 2015. The Radio-Canada article says Graphic Packaging sold 1200 lots of tools, motors and other small equipment earlier this year.
