Prices for bathroom tissue, paper towels and napkins will be increased effective July 11, and facial tissue prices will rise effective August 29, Kimberly-Clark Corporation announced recently.
The company blamed high prices of key raw material, particularly fiber, as well as higher energy costs, for the price hike.
The increases are expected to average approximately 6%. Net sales of Kimberly-Clark’s consumer tissue products in the U.S. amounted to more than $2 billion in 2003.
