Kadant Solutions, a division of Kadant Inc., has appointed Bilal Mehmood as president.
Mehmood was formerly the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Kadant Inc. and joined the Kadant Solutions division in his new capacity as president on Jul. 1.
Kadant Solutions is a supplier of doctor blades, doctor blade holders and doctoring systems for papermaking and other industrial processes.
Mehmood joined Kadant Solutions in 1995 and has held various roles throughout the Kadant organization including research and development, marketing, business development, operations and IT.
In his capacity as CTO, Mehmood has been responsible for leading global efforts into smart connected products as well as developing, communicating and executing strategic initiatives in support of organizational growth using technology.
In a statement, Eric Langevin, chief operating officer of Kadant, says, “I’m very pleased to have Bilal lead Kadant Solutions’ efforts in North American markets. He brings years of experience in product innovation, customer service, business development and technology enhancement in our target industries.”
