Michel Girard, vice-president of Kruger’s Corner Brook Pulp and Paper Mill in Newfoundland and Labrador, recently attended a dedication ceremony for Newfoundland’s new Centre for Research and Innovation (CRI).

The CRI is housed in the mill’s former human resources building. The space will be offered free of charge for the next 15 years, says Kruger.

The CRI, in collaboration with Memorial University’s Grenfell Campus and the College of the North Atlantic, will provide cutting-edge training to forest industry workers in the province, including Kruger employees.
