Kruger will extend by two weeks the curtailment at its Brompton mill in Sherbrooke, Que. Newsprint production, which has been interrupted since August 15 is now scheduled to resume on Sept. 22.
The company cites the high value of the Canadian dollar and low newsprint prices as the reason for the production shutdown.
