Tissue manufacturer Kruger Products has earned the 2013 Greening of the Supply Chain Award from the Canadian Association of Importers and Exporters.

Currently in its fifth year, this distinction is awarded to a Canadian company that has initiated, implemented, and proven a corporate commitment to greening its supply chain, as well as reducing its carbon footprint. “It is a privilege to be recognized for our projects, large and small, that are contributing to lessening its impact on the environment,” says John O’Hara, vice-president of logistics, Kruger Products. Specifically, the company won this award because of its updated supplier policies, FSC certification, work in reducing logistics and transportation inefficiencies, and installation of innovative technologies to improve its sustainable performance, among other initiatives.
