Kruger is making a name change. The company is renaming its Scott Paper division, Kruger Products.
Kruger bought the assets of Scott Paper from Kimberly-Clark in 1997. At that point, the purchase involved a ten-year licensing and trademark agreement for the Scott, Cottonelle and ScotTowels trademark names, which expires in July of 2007.
The company intends the name change to be part of a three-year re-branding initiative.
“We have invested significantly and strategically in our business both in Canada and the United States,” Mario Gosselin, Kruger Products COO said of the decision. “As we enter this exciting new time, we will be more focused than ever in building value for all of our great brands.”
The company has also designed a new logo, which includes the ‘K’ icon within a green-coloured globe, intended to represent growth and creativity.
