August 9, 2016 By Cindy Macdonald
Two business-oriented panel discussions are on the schedule at the International Bioenergy & Bioproducts Conference, Sept. 28-30, in Jacksonville, Fla.
In one panel, “Supply and Demand, From Good to Great – Steps to Supercharge Your Biobased Business Plan,” speakers will address the key elements necessary to move bioproduct projects from proof-of-concept to commercialization.
Another panel discussion will focus on monetizing lignin, sugars, and fibres from wood. These speakers will address the importance o biomass producers understanding the needs of their potential customers.
The technical program at IBBC will include content on pulp mill integrated biorefineries, bio-applications, feedstocks and The Billion Ton Study.
The event’s keynote speaker is Niklas von Weymarn, vice-president, research, for Metsä Fibre. Von Weymarn manages the development of new bioproducts related to Metsä Group’s bioproduct mill.
IBBC is co-located with TAPPI’s PEERS conference and delegates can take advantage of the opportunity to attend PEERS biorefinery bridge sessions at no additional cost as part of their IBBC registration. IBBC is also co-located with The International Mechanical Pulping Conference (IMPC).
