CORNER BROOK, NF — Corner Brook Pulp and Paper celebrated its 75th anniversary in Newfoundland on August 25. On that date in 1925, Newfoundland Power and Paper Company Ltd. — as it was then called — produced its first official roll of newsprint. To mark that date, the mill has commissioned an anniversary logo, which is currently used on company documents and correspondence. The design, taken from the first trademark newsprint labels, was then produced in the paper mill’s printing shop. As well, the company has commissioned an anniversary book and a commemorative pin.
