The Honorable Joe Oliver, federal Minister of Natural Resources, will address the pulp and paper industry at a luncheon on Feb. 1. The luncheon is part of PaperWeek Canada, the annual conference of the pulp and paper industry, hosted by PAPTAC, the Pulp and Paper Technical Association of Canada.

Avrim Lazar, president and CEO of the Forest Products Association of Canada, will also be a keynote speaker at PaperWeek, for the luncheon on Jan. 31. Lazar will provide his perspective on the changes of the past decade in the industry and where it’s going.

The week-long education and networking event runs from Jan. 30 to Feb. 3 in Montreal at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth. A special conference rate is available for attendees at the host hotel.
