UPM-Kymmene’s mill in Miramichi is set to begin a 180-day review process for air quality operating approval, the Daily Gleaner has reported.
The current operating approval will expire on September 30. A 120-day public comment period kicked off on March 11.
According to the Gleaner, the process will involve relevant air quality-related issues, including questions or comments concerning air emissions, pollution control equipment, conditions that were suggested in the draft approval, monitoring and reporting obligations, as well as compliance information.
The mill, which is not currently operating, will resume production on May 1.
