NORTH YORK, ON — The Column Sentry, a safety product from M.J. International, is a semi-flexible, stress-crack-resistant plastic that prevents damage to moving vehicles and injuries to drivers. The safety device, designed with 24 pockets placed around its circumference in angled fashion, deflects impact energy away from the column. Among its benefits are the following: it is waterproof, easy to clean and removable for maintenance. The standard size is 24 inches in diameter, and 42 inches in height, which the manufacturer said should fit 80% of standard columns, whether they are round, square, or H-shaped. Custom-made products are also available.
