The executive board of the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union has designated BRIAN PAYNE president. Payne, formerly vice-president of the union’s Western Region, will seek election from union members this month.

Abitibi-Consolidated has appointed JEAN-FRANOIS GUILLOT to the position of production manager, Grand Falls division.

The Tembec Paper Group has announced the appointment of CHRIS BLACK as vice-president, sales and marketing.

In August, PIERRE MOREAU took over the position of executive vice-president — operations, at Unifort Inc.
