British Columbia replaces top forestry official

September 14, 2018  By P&PC Staff

September 14, 2018 – The B.C. Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations & Rural Development quietly replaced its deputy minister this week.

Effective immediately, Tim Sheldan is no longer with the agency and has been replaced by John Allan, formerly a deputy minister and past head of the Council of Forest Industries and B.C. Lumber Trade Council.

Several news outlets have reported that Postmedia News obtained an internal email by Premier John Horgan’s deputy minister, Don Wright, that indicated the need for a change in direction.
