John D. Williams, president and chief executive officer of Domtar Corporation, will be the keynote speaker at PaperCon 2011. He will speak on Monday, May 2, at the conference to be held in Covington, Ky., near Cincinnati.

Williams will talk about Domtar's business approach and the integral role sustainability plays in its activities.

Domtar is the largest integrated manufacturer and marketer of uncoated freesheet paper in North America and the second largest in the world. Sustainable growth is at the forefront of its business approach as demonstrated by its commitment to continuous improvement and third-party certification throughout the supply chain. Balancing economic, social and environmental considerations is at the heart of its approach to sustainability.

Williams has more than 30 years of experience in both the consumer products and packaging industry.

PaperCon is North America's largest pulp and paper conference, bringing together industry leaders and technical experts from around the world.  In 2011, the theme is "Rethink Paper:  Lean and Green", highlighting new ways to improve efficiency, use less water, fibre and air, and achieve operational excellence.

Organized by TAPPI and PIMA, PaperCon includes three distinct tracks, PIMA Management, Papermaking and Coating. New for 2011, special forums are planned on tissue making, sustainability and maintenance.  For more information, visit www.papercon.org.
