October 3, 2018 – Kemira, a chemicals company serving customers in water-intensive industries, has announced price increases for all polymer products globally in the pulp and paper segment.

The price increases will vary based on different product types and may be significantly higher in certain countries. New prices will be effective for all deliveries from October 15th, 2018, or as contract terms allow.

The price increases across the polymer product line are as follows: emulsions and powders will go up by seven to 15 per cent, and polyamines will increase by eight to 15 per cent.

The company says these price increases are necessary as the prices for the main raw materials for polymers, together with tight supply and strong demand in the downstream polymer market, have all continued to increase during 2018 and are expected to further increase in 2019.
