Mercer Peace River Pulp named one of Alberta’s top employers

February 27, 2019 – Mercer Peace River Pulp has been named one of the top 75 employers in Alberta by Mediacorp.

The Alberta’s Top Employers list is compiled by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers. The list recognizes the Alberta employers that offer exceptional places to work. The winners were announced in a special magazine published in the Calgary Herald and Edmonton Journal.

In compiling the list, the Mediacorp editors consider eight criteria: (1) physical workplace; (2) work atmosphere & social; (3) health, financial & family benefits; (4) vacation & time off; (5) employee communications; (6) performance management; (7) training & skills development; and (8) community involvement.

In a release, Mercer Peace River Pulp also credits its environmental and forest management practices, and its collaborations with Indigenous communities for contributing to its work culture.
