TORONTO, ON — Markland Specialty Engineering Limited has made a suspended solids meter that uses ultrasonic attenuation to measure the concentration of sludges and slurries which are too thick for optical methods. The Series 502 Meter is equipped with high-powered microprocessor-based instrumentation: automatic push-button calibration, automatic dynamic damping, advanced self-diagnostics and insensitivity to color. The enclosure is NEMA-4X (IP67), which has an LCD readout, a 4-20 milliamp output; two setpoint relays and a serial port.
