June 27, 2018 – Operations have officially begun at the new LignoTech Florida lignin plant in Fernandina Beach. Owned by Rayonier Advanced Materials Inc. and Borregaard ASA, the plant has production capacity of 100,000 dry metric tons of lignin with the option of a second phase that can later expand production by an additional 50,000 dry metric tons.

The off-line calender that includes Valmet's machine control system is being designed to give the final high quality for the release and glassine paper grades after the grade conversion rebuild.
