Presentations and technical papers are being sought for the 2014 International Pulp Bleaching Conference, being held on October 29-31 in Grenoble, France.
The IPBC conference, organized every three years, covers the latest developments in chemical pulp bleaching. Sponsored by the many international pulp and paper organizations, it attracts not only scientists active in the field, but also suppliers and industry representatives. This year’s event is organized by LGP2, Grenoble INP-Pagora, CTP (Centre Technique du Papier) and ATIP (French association of the paper industry).
The scientific program for the 2014 IPBC will consist of keynote lectures, plenary technical sessions and poster sessions. Papers are expected to cover the following topics:
- Bleachability of chemical pulps.
- Optimum balance between cooking and bleaching.
- Bleaching and purification of dissolving grade pulps.
- Advances in bleaching sequences.
- Recent technological developments for bleaching stages.
- New bleaching agents.
- Catalysis of bleaching stages.
- Last developments in biobleaching processes.
- New aspects in bleaching chemistry.
- Chemical structure of chromophores.
- New analytical techniques for bleaching studies.
- Impact of bleaching on pulp and cellulose properties.
- Improvement of brightness stability.
- Management of bleaching effluents.
