Robert McDonald named VP manufacturing at Monadnock Paper Mills

September 10, 2018 – Monadnock Paper Mills has appointed Robert (Bob) McDonald vice-president of manufacturing.

McDonald assumed the role from Mark Lombardi, who retired after 10 years at Monadnock, which is based in New Hampshire.

McDonald’s career began at Fox River Paper in Appleton, Wisconsin where he held numerous positions of increasing responsibility. In his 16 years with Fox River, he advanced from mill manager to become vice-president of operations. From Fox River, he went on to work for Green Bay Packaging, Finch Paper and most recently, Intertape Polymer Group, Inc.

With his leadership skills, Bob achieved significant improvements in workplace safety by fostering a collaborative culture. He also has a proven track record implementing Lean/Six Sigma tools and driving Lean projects and Kaizen 5S events.

“With his strong asset management skills and experience in a specialty paper manufacturing environment, Bob is a tremendous addition to the executive management team at Monadnock,” says Richard Verney, Monadnock chairman and chief executive officer.

McDonald is a graduate of the Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in paper science.
