April 25, 2017  By P&PC Staff

Apr. 25, 2017 – Supremex, a North American manufacturer and marketer of a range of stock and custom envelopes and provider of packaging and specialty products, has named Bertrand Jolicoeur chief financial officer and corporate secretary.

“We are pleased to welcome Bertrand to a management team that is growing to meet the needs of our expanding business,” noted Stewart Emerson, president and CEO of Supremex. “As a seasoned financial executive with extensive experience in all matters related to business strategy, M&A and integration, his contribution will be vital as we continue executing our long-term growth and diversification strategy.”

Jolicoeur brings more than three decades of experience as a senior financial executive and corporate controller for both large privately held and publicly traded companies. He most recently served as vice president and CFO of Sanimax Industries, a privately held rendering company with 1,200 employees in Canada, the U.S. and Brazil.

He started his accounting career at KPMG in 1985 and holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Finance and Accounting from McGill University and a CPA (CA) designation.

Meanwhile, Lyne Bégin, interim vice-president of finance, will return to her role as corporate controller, noted the company, thanking her for her “selfless dedication and commitment to Supremex.”

Jolicoeur’s appointment follows several recent initiatives the company recently implemented in an effort to support ongoing M&A, growth and diversification strategies. Mike Daniel was appointed vice president and general manager of Supremex USA, a new role created to oversee all U.S. envelope divisions, which extends beyond his previous responsibilities as general manager of Bowers Envelope. Rick Nieuwendyk was promoted to corporate development, integration and special projects manager, and Vera Rego assumed responsibility for a new role as corporate human resource and development manager.
