Voith gets contract for Propapier’s new paper machine

July 19, 2018 – Voith Paper has been awarded the contract for Propapier’s new state-of-the-art PM3 paper machine.

The machine is slated to begin production later in 2020 in Sandersdorf-Brehna, Germany, where corrugating medium and testliner within the grammage range of from 80 to 150 g/m² will be manufactured.

Once started, the machine will produce an annual capacity of 750,000 tonnes of containerboard with a working width of 9.20 metres. The total annual production capacity for containerboard will increase from 1,100,000 tonnes to about 1,850,000 tonnes from the two paper factories – PM1 in Burg and PM2 in Eisenhüttenstadt.
