Northern Pulp Nova Scotia was created when Atlas Holdings LLC and Blue Wolf Capital Management acquired the former Neenah Paper Inc. pulp mill in Pictou last year.

The mill produces 270,000 tonnes of northern bleached softwood kraft pulp and employs about 250 workers.

According to a Canadian Press report, the loan aims to help maintain the mill’s operations and uphold more than 650 forestry jobs directly and indirectly linked to the Pictou mill.
