March 4th will mark the launch of the New York Board of Trade’s Pulp Futures contract. The Option on Pulp Futures contract will begin on March 7th. Trading hours for both contracts will be from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. (NY time).
The NYBOT contract is for 20 air-dry metric tonnes of Northern bleached softwood kraft pulp. Pulp Futures contracts, priced in US dollars, will be listed for the months of February, April, June, August, October and December, with April 2005 the first contract to be listed.
A press briefing will be held on March 3rd to discuss the details of the contract specifications, as well as to answer questions. It will be held at 2 p.m. at the New York Board of Trade.
