Omet appoints David Root North American tissue division specialist
Jul. 6, 2017 - Omet Americas is welcoming David Root as its new tissue division specialist for North America.

In this newly created role, Root will manage client relationships while coordinating the sales and delivery of tissue converting equipment for the production of napkins, towels and place mats. The company says his appointment reaffirms Omet’s commitment to provide local sales, support and service across the Canadian and American markets.
Root comes to Omet with more than 35 years of experience in the flexographic printing industry, with an emphasis on specialty substrates: napkin printing and folding, high speed paper towel print applications, napkin and bath tissue, as well as nonwovens. He will be based in New York and will report to Claudio Semenza, Omet Americas sales director.
Meanwhile, Omet says it is partnering with DMR Solutions to meet the growing demand for Omet machines worldwide. “This partnership will allow Omet to contribute to the growth of the tissue industry in North America by offering technically advanced equipment and excellent local support through DMR Solutions,” according to a company press release.
