HELSINKI, FINLAND — EV Group Oy, has manufactured a new high-tech measuring concept, the EV Web Scanner, a technology dedicated to on-line measurement of web moisture CD/MD profiles, and moisture and temperature levels just after the press section. The unit is designed with a scanning frame over the entire paper web width, which contains a high-speed measuring head and user-friendly software for monitoring data in the PM control room. The benefits are clear, says the company. “With the EV Web Scanner, mill personnel are able to find a variety of production bottlenecks in an early stage and, thus, improve web moisture control.”
