PAPTAC has announced its keynote luncheon panel for PaperWeek Canada 2020, which runs February 3-6, 2020 in Montreal.

The panel, titled “Experienced workforce and younger generations – are their aspirations that different?” takes place February 5 and brings together four panelists to discuss the pulp and paper workforce:

  • Kathy Buckman Gibson, CEO and president of KBG Technologies and board member of Buckman;
  • Kevin Lyrette, strategic HR manager at Kruger Inc.;
  • Luana Dessbesell, Ph.D., biorefinery and supply chain specialist for EnVertis Consulting Inc./Polytechnique Montreal; and
  • Moderator Karl Moore, Ph.D., associate professor in the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University, associate at Green Templeton College, and Oxford University author

The session will cover the perspectives and values of the four generations currently in the workforce, and how the pulp and paper industry can harness the range of experience and insight already in the market to attract new recruits.
