Weyerhaeuser VP Linda Coady was honoured with the Robert Findlay Chisholm Award for her work to build consensus between environmental groups and the Canadian forest industry.

Tristar Industries has appointed Sebastian Bresciani as regional manager for Eastern Canada and Northeastern U.S.A. He will be based in Montreal, QC, where he will apply his 20 years of experience in the field of pulp and paper process equipment technology.

Timothy G. Staub has been appointed to the position of president and CEO of Vancouver-based CellFor Inc. The forestry biotechnology company also appoints Dr. Wolfgang Schuch as senior vice president and chief science officer. Wolfgang has more than 20 years of expertise in applied plant science, while Staub joins CellFor from Virginia’s Sampson Coatings.

VantagePoint Systems, Vancouver, BC, has appointed Enzo C. DiMichele as vice president of sales. DiMichele has 15 years of experience in information technology.

G. Jack MacDonald has been appointed as chief financial officer of DynaMotive Energy Systems, Vancouver, BC, where he has acted as financial advisor over the past five months.

NAPL announced the elevation of Joseph P. Truncale to the position of NAPL president effective January 1, 2003. He will replace I. Gregg Van Wert, who will step down as president and CEO on December 31.

Honeywell names David M. Cote as president and CEO. He will succeed Larry Bossidy, who will step down on June 30 upon his retirement.

Yong-Zai Lu joins Pavilion Technologies as an optimization scientist, where he will develop and apply technologies for enterprise and optimization and future trading systems.

SCA has promoted Joseph F. Raccuia as president and CEO of SCA Tissue North America, to succeed Lee M. Bingham who will move to the parent company, SCA North America, as senior vice president. Donald E. Lewis becomes senior vice president of sales for SCA Tissue North America.

Thomas H. Garone has joined the senior management team of PERMA-FLEX, Inc. as the plant manager of the company’s production facility in Newark, DE.

Weyerhaeuser Company had major changes in its senior management team. James R. Keller becomes senior VP of containerboard packaging and recycling, while Michael R. Onustock is senior VP of pulp and white paper. Marvin D. Cooper joins the company as senior VP of pulp, paper, containerboard manufacturing and engineering. All three are former Willamette executives. Richard C. Gozon has retired as executive VP, and Richard E. Hanson has been promoted to executive VP, Timberlands.

Unilux Inc., Saddle Brook, NJ, has appointed Raul Bernal as manager of Latin American sales. He will be responsible for coordinating sales and customer service agents from Mexico to Argentina, including the Caribbean.

Voith Paper Service appointed Andreas Arnhold as VP of mill services in Europe. Prior to the appointment, he was responsible for the service center of Metso Paper in Pfungstadt, Germany.

Keith B. Russell is now Stora Enso’s senior VP of investor relations, based in London.

Terry A. Tevis has been appointed as president and CEO of Pluzynski Associates, Inc., New York, NY.
