2005 marks the 90th anniversary of the Pulp and Paper Health and Safety Association. Since 1915, the organization has worked to provide assistance to member firms to ensure the lives of employees within the pulp and paper sector were not lost due to circumstances that could have been avoided, and accidents that could have been prevented.

The PPHSA will be celebrating its history throughout the year, at branch meetings and leader’s forums, in special publications and at the annual PPHSA conference. The organization is seeking the help of its members in its quest to collect any significant memorabilia including industry photographs, annual reports, mill/plant history, video footage, as well as the names of people who could help connect the organization to past history. If you have any appropriate items, contact Paul Andre at (705) 474-7233 ext. 275 or Cindy Hunter at (705) 474-7233 ext. 243.
