To ensure that mills continue to source the quality of fibre needed to manufacture their products, the Paper Recycling Association (PRA) members will favour buying recovered paper from the certified suppliers (ISO or other certification) or from suppliers who can guarantee that their fibre quality consistently meets the agreed specifications.
The decision is due to the decline in the quality of recovered fibre at paper recycling mills, said the PRA. The mills select different grades of recovered fibre specifically for the products they manufacture, and the technology they have in place.
