ESPOO, FINLAND — Tapio Technologies Oy the manufacturer of the Tapio Paper Machine analyzer (PMA) and Tapio TS Profiler has added Shrinkage Profile Measurement to its analyzers. Multiple signals can be measured in just one measurement and, based on high-resolution data, the mill gets a full analysis, including profiles, profile edges and formation (beta & optical). Typical everyday verification is done by testing on-line scanner profiles against Tapio profiles. The TS Profiler can be equipped with a maximum of four sensors and the Tapio PMA can house all sensor types available. The sensor types are ash, basis weight, caliper, surface fibre orientation, gloss, printability, remission and transmission.
