VANCOUVER, BC — Canfor Corp. said it is looking for a partner for its British Columbia pulp operations, possibly ready to strike a deal with Vancouver-based Fletcher Challenge Canada Ltd. Canfor chief executive officer David Emerson said the company would like to fuse its two pulp mills in Prince George, BC, with those of another local producer in an effort to reduce costs. The move is fuelled by the freefall of pulp prices, which have plunged to $500 (US) per tonne in the US.
