Here is what one of our readers had to say on the subject:

In today’s world, production efforts are only worthwhile if energy consumption is reduced. P&P must recognize we are converting and marketing energy first and fibre is now the vehicle that carries the energy. Business success will only be realized by those that can market the least net energy for the best return. P&P products that are competing with other energy-based products will lose out if energy usage is higher long term.
