Canfor will delay the re-start of one pulp line at the Northwood pulp mill in Prince George, B.C., due to construction delays. The company announced Sept. 29 that the re-start had been delayed two weeks in order to complete the recovery boiler upgrade project.
The delay with reduce pulp production for the fourth quarter by about 10,000 tonnes.
A company statement notes that management is “focusing on manaing the associated project delays and mitigating anticipated project cost overruns.”
