Register now for PacWest short courses

The PacWest conference is not until June, but organizers are requesting that attendees register early for the three short courses offered in conjunction with this annual industry conference.

The three day-long courses offered on June 8 are:
• Process integration workshop
• Bleach plant optimization
• Opportunities in greenhouse gas management

To be sure the courses can meet their minimum attendance requirements, participants are asked to register before May 4 at the PacWest web site. Those interested can register to any of the courses without registering for the full conference.

The PacWest 2016 conference and trade show will be held June 8-11 at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, in Jasper, Alta. The event is organized by the Pacific and Western branches of PAPTAC and IBMP, an association of industry suppliers.

The theme of the 2016 event is Embracing Technology. Speakers for the opening panel discussion on this theme will include: Bill Adams, Canfor Pulp; Rod Albers, West Fraser; Bruno Marcoccia, Domtar; James Olson, UBC; Jean Hamel, FPInnovations; and Mats Nordgren, Valmet.
