Resolute recognized for its ESG and pandemic management initiatives

Resolute Forest Products was recognized with two awards at a global competition highlighting excellence and innovation. The company bagged two gold awards in the first edition of the Norn Awards.

Resolute was recognized for its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) leaflets in the Sustainability and Environment Publications category and for its COVID-19 response in the Pandemic Management category.

Resolute created its ESG leaflets to improve access to and the availability of its ESG reporting. The company’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic focused on adhering to guidelines and measures put in place by government authorities. In addition, Resolute launched a program to reward its facilities for attaining a COVID-19 vaccination rate (two doses) of at least 75 percent among their employees.

The Norns Awards recognize and give global visibility to professionals and companies that, through their hard work, sense of team, knowledge, and creativity, have achieved results that are worthy of recognition from a wide variety of industries. The program received over 1,000 entries, and winners were selected by a team of judges made up of international professionals who are experts in their respective fields.
