For $156.1 million, SFK Pulp bought two mills from American Fiber Resources LLC and the Great Lakes Pulp Company. SFK now owns two recycled bleached kraft pulp mills, the American Fiber mill and the Great Lakes facility.
“We are pleased to report today the successful closing and financing of the acquisition of the AFRI mills,” president and CEO Andr Bernier said of the purchases. “We also welcome the experienced and dedicated employees of these RBK pulp facilities as well as their long-standing customers. Our focus for the next months will be to successfully integrate these activities and deliver the expected results of this transaction.”
