SFK Pulp Fund and the union representing approximately 325 production and maintenance employees reached an agreement in principle.
Although no details were released, an agreement with the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union was attained on October 29th. Employees, who have been without a contract since April 30th, 2004, will vote on the new agreement on November 4th.
SFK announced earlier this month that it was postponing its October distribution because of a strike vote by its production and maintenance employees. The fund has confirmed its board of directors will now reconsider the postponement.
