Sonoco-Alcore S.a.r.l. is planning to hike it coreboard, core and tube product prices. The increases will kick in on April 18th 2005, at which point coreboard prices will see an additional 40 to 60 attached to their price tags, according to grade, where core and tube prices will jump an average of 6%, with prices based on specification and type.

Escalating energy, transportation, packaging and chemical prices are being credited with the company’s decision. "We cannot continue to absorb increasing cost pressure," said CEO James Harrell.
