Sonoco is increasing prices for its paper-based tubes and cores and related specialty products by 6% in the U.S. and Canada. The price hikes will be effective on or after July 31.

“Additional price increases being implemented by producers of uncoated, recycled paperboard are negatively impacting our manufacturing cost structure,” said John Colyer, division vice president and general manager, industrial products, North America. “Furthermore, we are continuing to experience inflationary pressures related to general operating costs, including energy and production supplies,” he added.
