Sonoco raises prices on uncoated recycled paperboard in North America

Sonoco will implement a $50 per ton price increase for all grades of uncoated recycled paperboard (URB) in Canada and the United States, effective with shipments beginning Mar. 1.

In a statement, the packaging provider cited the continuation of extended order backlogs at its mills along with continuing inflation of input costs, especially freight, as the drivers for this price adjustment.
