A strike has prompted a temporary shutdown of Neenah Paper’s operations in Terrace Bay, ON. The end of the week of February 13 saw the company starting to close the facility that was suffering severe wood shortages in response to the woodlands worker strike, which kicked off on January 30. Although talks were scheduled to resume on February 17, and the shutdown has been labeled ‘temporary,’ the mill won’t be able to start up again until it reaches an agreement with the woodlands workers.
