Valmet to supply Belgian mill with cooking plant

June 6, 2018 – A batch cooking plant for Burgo Ardennes' pulp mill in Virton, Belgium will be supplied by Valmet with a start-up date planned for early 2020.

The value of the order was not disclosed.

"The new cooking plant will improve pulp characteristics and utilize wood raw material in a more efficient way," Michel Hartman, mill manager at Burgo Ardennes mill in Virton, said. "Additionally, we will improve local environment around the mill – mainly the odour – and reduce the energy consumption within the process area."
