Global Green Solutions (OTCBB: GGRN) has announced that it has signed an agreement with global pulp and paper company Sappi Ltd. to install Global Green’s “Greensteam” technology in the Sappi Usutu pulp mill in Swaziland, South Africa. The agreement is conditional upon a successful follow-up feasibility study. However, a definite contract is expected by July 2008 with the Greensteam facility expected to begin operations by September 2009.

Developed by US-based international eco-technology company Global Green, the Greensteam system generates low-cost process steam through the combustion of what otherwise would be discarded wood waste. According to Global Green, the clean Greensteam process reduces the cost of steam by up to 30% when compared to natural-gas fueled steam generation.
