MONTREAL, QC Kruger has reported that it has obtained chain of custody certification for the sourcing of fibre for its Brompton, Trois-Rivieres, and Wayagamack mills in Quebec, as well as for certified product sales from its Montreal head office. The independently verified standard PwC-ICoC: 2005 developed by Pricewaterhouse Coopers confirms that paper products manufactured and sold from these facilities may contain recycled fibre and up to 100% certified wood fibre. This standard tracks fibre from recycled fibre sources and fibres from well-managed forests, through all transformation processes in the mills to the end-user. It incorporates three recognized certification systems-Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), Canadian Standards Assn. (CSA Z809), and the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI).
