DEGUSSA IMPLEMENTS PRICE HIKES

Parsippany, NJ — Degussa Corporation increased the prices of its all AEROSIL fumed silica grades, AERODISP dispersions and AEROXIDE fumed metal oxides sold in North America, by 6%. The price hikes became effective on February 1st.

The company cited significant increases in energy, transportation and raw material costs as responsible for its respective increases.
